Die 1. Westpfalz-Gospel-Week

For a week, the West Palatinate was enchanted by the unique spirit of gospel music. Singers from all over Germany came to Kaiserslautern and gave the audience special goosebumps. Under the direction of Malcolm Chambers from Sweden and the Ghanaian-born Gabriel Vealle, we made the West Palatinate tremble and sang “Spiritual Gospel”, “Modern Gospel” and “African Gospel” together. West Palatinate Gospel Week was so beautiful!

“Gospel night in the Fruchthalle with emotions and lots of movement”

"A trio with enthusiasm and passion: Malcolm Chambers, Alexandra Dietz and Gabriel Vealle"

"At the end everyone is exhausted. Muscle twitching in the hands and legs from clapping and constantly standing up, heart racing. ... The constant repetitions, the pronounced rhythm, reinforced by drums, piano, keyboard and bass, create an ecstatic atmosphere that hardly anyone can imagine can escape. And soon the “Jumpers” and “Rollers” spread through the hall until all visitors are infected by the rhythm and the whole hall sways to the same beat. But the singers on stage also sing with all their heart and soul sing out everything they feel. Malcolm Chambers and Gabriel Vealle bring out the best in each participant...

Gabriel Vealle... simply carries the choristers along. He also inspires with his infectious nature, animating both the choir and guests with facial expressions and distinctive gestures, while his eyes sparkle. His hands fly up, swing back and forth... He knows how to raise his incredibly flexible voice from a supple soul whisper to an ecstatic rock crescendo, until he exults in falsetto with joy in life... The sweat flows Stream. The audience's applause increases frenetically.

“Open your hearts” sings Malcolm Chambers... (he) knows how to bring blues intensity into this ballad and, on the other hand, sing with the sophistication of modern jazz. His voice is characterized by musical sensitivity, emotional directness and unaffected intensity. Even after the 22nd track, the audience couldn't contain their enthusiasm and stood up for two encores with "Oh Happy Day" and "Happy."
